Explainer: What is the Fringe?

The Fringe Society were looking for a brief video to summarise what Fringe means and explain the role their organisation plays in bringing together the world's largest arts festival.

 

I scripted, edited and animated the graphics for this video. Below, I've extracted the animated elements for you to enjoy, however if you'd like to see the full video you can do so here.

App promo

In 2023, the Fringe launched their mobile app, which was downloaded over 125,000 times thanks to this snazzy promotional video, styled to adhere to their '23 campaign creative.

Logo animations

These animations were based on existing logos for the Fringe's brand. I created countless variations applying the Fringe's full colour palette and changing the sub-heading to suit their many sub-brands.

Social media

Over the years, I've edited and animated a vast number of videos for @edfringe accounts on Instagram, TikTok and X. 

Digital Out of Home

​

This animation was displayed on bus shelters across Scotland to promote the 2023 Fringe.
